The American Basketball Association (ABA) announced that the Baltimore Hawks will host the 2015-2016 All Star Game in mid-April following the Final Four playoffs. "Gregory Brown and the Hawks did a fabulous job in their first season and we anticipate another great year," stated Tom Chichester , ABA VP of Operations and All Star Game Site Selection Chairman. "They are putting together a fabulous weekend of activities and were the majority choice of the Selection Committee. We are looking forward to an exciting All Star Game." "We are going to introduce a new format for this All Star Game," continued Chichester, "sort of modeled after the NFL All Star Game. The coaches of the top 2 ABA teams will select their teams from a roster of 28 players nominated by the ABA Executive Committee and the ABA Division Chairmen.
